The story is just another example of poor parenting skills.  As parents, we

have to try to be more attuned to our children when they speak to us.

The shocking and heartbreaking views of children are not new, however,

everyone is still "surprised".

Dear Readers,

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

I posted this article a few months ago; now it is the TV, media and pundit soup of the month.  As a result, I have decided to post my commentary on the article once more. This article was first posted on 01/31/2010.

It’s my daily routine to search news reports for the topics I sometimes choose for this portal.

It was to my dismay while reading the U.S.A today, I came across this article:

BLACK WOMEN ARE NOT MARRIED

Here  we go again. The article” refers” to a link that I followed to research at further depth. I counted at lease twenty videos on the topic at hand-a few of the videos were news worthy others were not my( opinion)  I have no issue with a woman black or white whom may choose not to  be married for what ever the personal reason may be.

There or many reason at times why a black woman may not be married.

And not the age old stereo type norm.

(1) Black men are imprisoned

  1. (2)(Black woman)  they  are uneducated

  2. (3) ('so the very educated black man married white')

Let’s look at a few of the reasons that or many times the legitimate reasons  a woman-white or black may not be married.

Education, many times people in general want to be with someone they can relate with. Someone they can share many topics and issues with.

The main one I   believe  cultural differences.   Also a reason not necessarily white or black.  Blacks and white have their own cultural reason not to marry out of their norm what ever it may be. Sometimes it is class, and other times it may be religion.

We have a  wide range of cultural  differences.

Other issues that most of us over look is the fact that there are many women out there that do not want to be married just like the guys do at times.  Until they maybe financially  secure.  The thought behind this is.  God for bid if life unexpected should happened she should be able to take care of her family.

Remember in relationships. For there to be a long lasting marriage we have to have more than just money as the driven force. We need more than money. We  need unconditional love, respect and passion-when the money runs out as it some times does the “love” goes as well. If we do not have the above  mention  marriages will die. You see. Their will be nothing to save or hold on to.

These or a few reasons that people make the decision they sometimes make.

Now moms and dads it is our responsibility to teach our kids that to love is unconditional. Sometimes we may let the right person walk away because they may not meet our standard. Standards or very good to have how ever we should not let it become a handicap.
